That’s a wrap on the 62nd Northumberland Scottish Festival and Highland Games!

 

Thanks to the many guests, competitors, vendors and Ceilidh performers taking part in our event.  We’ll be posting photos in the coming days so check back for a peek.

 

With 25 Pipe and Drum bands, 150 Highland Dancers, nearly 50 Heavy Athletes, 12 Clans, the Wee Highlander area, a Scavenger Hunt, food and merchant vendors, there was something for everyone.

 

Heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who helped make our event a success

• OCEAP for bar services, medical and security assistance.

• Sir Sandford Fleming and Loyalist Pre-Service Firefighter students who provided muscle during set up and tear down and tenderness in the Wee Highlanders area.

• Hope Community Church members alongside Vincent, Chris and Ruston, who showed up super early for parking duties.

• Loyal Orange Lodge members who handled the entrance booths with ready smiles and lots of patience.

• The friends and families of committee members as well as those unique individuals who just show up to help.

 

The generous support from our corporate sponsors and individual donors is invaluable and much needed to supplement our ticket and fundraising activities.

Last but not least all our committee members - we are completely volunteer based and they put in time and effort throughout the year.
